Condition

Overall in good condition. Scattered chips, nicks, scratches and surface dirt throughout. Losses to wreath and hair. Repair to left nostril. Hairline cracks to chest that travel across midsection do not impact structural integrity of the piece. Chips and losses to lower edge of base.

Catalogue Note

Ferdinando Andreini studied under Ulysse Cambo and worked primarily in Florence.  He exhibited from 1861 in various salons, particularly in Turin and Florence.  He is known for his bust of Vittorio Emanuele II in the Grand Consul Room in Florence.
