Catalogue Note
Paul Soyer (1832-1932) was a talented chaser, engraver and enameler. His workshops were located on rue Mauconseil and then 4 rue Saint-Saveur in Paris. As his workshop label advertises, Soyer was a medalled enameler and worked in several mediums, including jewelry. He was the father of Théophile Soyer (1853-1940), also an enameler who exhibited in the late nineteenth century.
