comprising a canapé and six fauteuils, all with original eighteenth-century Aubusson upholstery, each with the French & Co. inventory number 18504. The frames redecorated in the nineteenth century.

Condition
Each fauteuil inscribed in yellow or blue chalk 47460, five of the fauteuils also with a paper label printed 18, 21, 22, 23 and 24 respectively, some fauteuil further stamped in blue ink 21NOV1955 and with an indistinct circular stamp. With scattered age and construction cracks, dents and abrasions. Carving with scattered minor chips and abraisons at extremitites and rubbing. Scattered old worm damage; most to underside. Scattered minor losses to wood at extremitites due to worm damage; not extensive. Scattered losses and cracks to gesso. One fauteuil with one finial of backrest broken off with piece present.Some front legs possibly with later capitols. Undersides with yellow wash, some with legs blocked. Upholstery with small slits, oxidation, surface dirt and some restitiching. Redecorated, now with traces of gilding. Decoration with losses, rubbing and surface dirt. In sound condition, will enhance with restoration.
