the marquetry top centered by a fruitwood marquetry oval with interlaced Cs and S, the hinged top opening to an arrangement of eight gilt metal compartments above a single drawer, the lock plate engraved MAISON GIROUX A PARIS.

Condition

Overall in good condition. Light hairline scratches to carcass and veneers consistent with age and use. Dirt to gilt bronze. The timber frieze showing discoloration or, if not discoloration, natural veining showing color contrast.
