Catalogue Note
A set of four wall lights of this model commissioned on September 29, 1787 and executed under the direction of the sculptor Jean Hauré, was delivered by Pierre-François Feuchère (1737-1823) in early 1788 for Marie-Antoinette's Cabinet de Toilette at St. Cloud. The model derives from a set of two branch wall lights by Hauré and Feuchère made for the apartments of Thierry de Ville d'Avray in 1787.
