surmounted by a porcelain buddha, the platform with a gilt highlighted border, the interior of the inkwell lid engraved E.F. Caldwell & Co. New York.

Condition

Overall in good condition. The painted surfaces with a few light scratches, rubbing and surface dirt. Possible areas of overpainting. Gilt highlights to painted surfaces with rubbing and surface dirt which has blackened in some areas. The gilt bronze with light rubbing, surface dirt and darkening. The porcelain with scattered minute imperfections inherent in the making and surface dirt to crevices.
