- height 35 in.; width 33 in.; depth 23 1/4 in.
- 89 cm; 84 cm; 59 cm
surmounted by Brocatelle Jaune marble tops, the lacquer with Chinese outdoor scenes, with nobilities, bamboo, cherry trees and roosters, the bombé doors opening to an oak interior fitted with one shelf, the reverse of the doors veneered with purplewood and satinwood.
Condition
The lacquer in very good condition. The cabinets have survived well, most probably due to proper care over their lifetime. There is a vertical hairline crack to one door. The marble are most probably later. The bronze mounts are well cast and chased, but with traces of dirt. They have retained their original gilding. The reverse of the doors with visible cracks and lifting to the veneer, as a result of carcass shrinkage. One door with a minor loss of amaranthe veneer, approximately one quarter of an inch square.
