surmounted by a Sarrancolin Opéra marble top above two long drawers sans traverse bearing the pseudo stamp JOSEPH to the carcass beneath the marble.
Condition
Overall in good and fair condition with the usual minor scratches, dents and nicks to veneers and carcass consistent with age and use. Tarnishing, dirt and wear to gilt bronze in places. The marble with the usual minor chips to edges, scratches to surface consistent with age and use.
Visible repairs to marble top now with filler in keeping with the marble shades. Green oxidation points to feet.
The commode showing to each side horizontal cracks from carcass movement. Losses on veneer to the lefthand side of the commode along the foliate gilt bronze mounts. The commode previously had handles which are now lacking, and the pinholes to the previous mounting have been filled with appropriate veneers.
