Catalogue Note
Linke title: Encognure [sic] Louis XV, bois de violette, porte peinture.
This corner cupboard appears to be index number 960, in which case it is an unique example of the model. However, a vague pencil sketch in an earlier Blue Daybook suggests a similar model may have been made for Linke by Krieger. The one version had a 30 mm brocatelle marble top with a chevalier profile. One note states that the painting was by Guilbert and that the price must not go over 200 francs.
