in the Louis XVI style, surmounted by recumbent female sphinxes.

Condition

Overall in good condition. Light surface scratches and rubbing throughout consistent with age and use. Surface dirt and residue in places. The left torso of one sphinx with small isolated area of overpainting approximately 1 1/2 inches long x 1/8 inch wide. This small section of overpainting with a few flakes to top layer.
