Condition
Overall excellent condition. With some minor surface scratches to a few of the outer cases. This piece is constructed of twenty independent case elements and a canvas strap and requires four people for installation. The pieces are balanced on each other and held in place by the strap. Because of the fragile nature of this piece, Sotheby's will be disassembling the work after the exhibition. Once dissembled, the individual drawers, which are encased in the contemporary maple frames, are quite sturdy and can easily be transported. Please note, this lot is being sold with a copy of the Droog exhibition catalogue from Tokyo in 2000, where the model is illustrated.
