Condition

Overall in very good original condition. With some minor rubbing, oxidation and dullness to the chromium-plated surface which is consistent with age and use. With minor losses to the chroming concentrated to the top surfaces of the tubular metal adjacent to the wood armrests, which exposes the natural metal color underneath. The wood armrests with wear and losses to the paint along the edges commensurate with use. There appears to have been a white underlayer applied to the wooden elements prior to the black final coat, and the wear to the paint has exposed the white layer, as seen in the catalogue illustration. The original eisengarn fabic in good original condition. With some wear and minor losses to the fabric covering the tubular metal elements to the proper right and proper left of the seat consistent with use. With some minor fading which is consistent throughout the top surfaces, and only evident when one examines the underside of the fabric seat. Overall an excellent example of the form in original condition.
