Condition

STRUCTURE The panel is sound. There are one or two minor nicks along the upper left edge and in the centre of the right edge otherwise the work appears in good overall condition. ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT Under ultraviolet light there are very minimal retouchings to frame abrasions along the left hand border. There are also some minor retouchings to the left of the boys head and in the sky in the upper right quadrant. FRAME Held in a gilt plaster frame.
