STRUCTURE
Original canvas.
There is a line of craquelure to the lady's shoulder and back. The surface is slightly dirty and may benefit from a light clean. Otherwise the work is in good original condition.
ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
UV reveals an opaque uneven varnish which makes the reading difficult to inertpret. There may be a few old retouchings to the background and woman's face.
FRAME
Held in an ornate gilt plaster frame.
