Condition
STRUCTURE
The canvas has been relined.
There is a very minor, faint, craquelure pattern across the surface, visible upon close inspection. There is a stretcher bar mark along the upper edge. Otherwise the work is in generally good stable condition, clean and ready to hang.
ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
UV reveals an uneven varnish and flecked retouchings to all four quadrants, including slightly larger areas of retouching to the background and foreground.
Held in an ornate gilt plaster frame.
