Condition
STRUCTURE
The canvas has been laid over board.
There are some frame abrasions along the right and lower edges. There is some craquelure in the lower left hand corner. The varnish is slightly discoloured and the surface is dirty. Otherwise the work is in generally good overall condition.
ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
UV reveals a few spots and flecks of retouching, including in the lower left corner, to the foliage to the left of the girls' feet, to the leaves just in front of the wall on the right, a spot to the arm of the girl on the left, and to the girl on the right's hood forehead and a small spot on her dress.
FRAME
Held under glass in gilt plaster frame; unexamined out of frame.
