STRUCTURE
Original canvas.
There is a very small surface scratch along the lower left edge and an area of blooming in the doorway. The surface has discoloured and may benefit from a light clean. Otherwise the work appears in good overall condition.
ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
Ultraviolet light reveals an opaque varnish. A few spots flouresce about the legs of the gentlemen, but these appear to correspond with light staining on the surface rather than retouchings.
FRAME
Held in a gilt plaster frame.
