Condition
STUCTURE
The canvas has been relined.
There are a few minor isolated areas of craquelure, mainly in the sky, which are only visible upon close inspection. There is some frame paint and minor frame abrasion along the lower edge. The varnish has discoloured and the surface is dirty. Otherwise the work is in good overall condition.
ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
UV reveals an uneven varnish, which makes the reading difficult to interpret. There are some spots of old retouching in the sky.

Held in a gilt plaster frame.
