Condition

STRUCTURE The canvas has been relined and is undulating. There are minor stretcher bar marks about the edges and a few isolated areas of craquelure, visible upon close inspection. There is some minor frame abrasion along the left edge and the surface is dirty. The varnish appears to be slightly discoloured in the sky. ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT UV reveals scattered flecked retouchings in all four quadrants. FRAME Held in a painted plaster frame.
