Condition

STRUCTURE The canvas has been relined. There are discoloured retouchings across the upper half of the sky and very faint signs of craquelure around the centre of the sky, only visible upon close inspection. The surface is slightly dirty. Otherwise the work appears in good overall condition. ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT UV light reveals scattered flecks and some sweeping areas of retouching across the sky. There are also retouchings across the hills and the loch, and a small areas in the lower corners. FRAME Held in a gilt plaster frame.
