Condition

Illustration is quite accurate. Fine coffer; the ebony veneer is slightly marked in places due to density of the wood. One horizontal crack on the top (visible on illustration). The inside drawers - 6 and not 9 (as described) as some have simulated front - are made of solid palissander. The marquetery in fairly good condition with patched restoration in places and cracks. The metal fixing points of the outside steel borders are visible on the inside. The steel with traces of rust and oxydation have been cleaned. 2 nails missing. Attractive model.
