Catalogue Note
Rare. The first book on the ornithology of the Arabian Peninsula in Arabic and limited to 300 copies. The book is divided into three chapters; chapter one summarises the different explorative missions and regions visited, including Jeddah, Madinah, Wadi Fatmah, Arafat, Yanbo, Al Ta'if, Al Halifah etc. The second chapter deals with the different types of mammals, birds, reptiles and fish that were recorded, with their names in Arabic, Latin and English. The third chapter lists species that were seen or heard, but could not be collected.
