Catalogue Note

A rare pair of wall-maps of Africa and the Americas, both presumably compiled by John Purdy, although his authorship is credited only on the map of Africa. America is here described as 'An Improved Edition'. Of the two maps, COPAC records only a single example of the Africa, in the BL.
