Condition
Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 8-10 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. There are no visible cracks to the bands of Turtleback tiles in the shade and base. The Turtleback tiles in the shade are intensely iridized, providing strong color and luminosity when the shade is viewed without illumination. The patinated bronze surfaces display an exceptionally deep and rich russet brown and green patina, with minimal surface wear and rubbing consistent with age and gentle use. With a few small traces of light surface oxidation along the lower leaded border of the Turtleback tiles in the shade. The underbase appears to have been overpainted. All of the sockets and paddle switches appear to be original and undisturbed. With a replaced finial. A strong example of the model with a particularly saturated and vigorously mottled glass selection, and with a rare electrified base which provides beautiful illumination for the band of Turtleback tiles.
