Folio (13 x 9 1/2 in.; 330 x 245 mm). 126 handcolored lithographed plates divided into 4 series: Egypt (30 plates), Greece (40 plates), and Rome (50 plates), the 3rd and 4th series numbered continuously, signed G. Engelmann, or Engelmann, or Engelmann et Cie, some unsigned; about 20 plates foxed, about 15 plates toned or browned, minor staining. Nineteenth-century half black roan over navy textured boards, smooth spine gilt, plain endpapers; minor rubbing.
