Catalogue Note

First edition, and a rare copy, still preserved in its original parts with publisher's wrappers. Bruun Neergaard was a Danish traveler who conceived the present work on a trip with Thomas Charles Naudet. From sketches made during the journey, Philibert Louis Debucourt engraved the plates.

This is one of the most important works about the lakes in Italy. The beautiful plates are printed in a variety of colors, black, blue, gray or sepia.
