Manuscript, folio (13 3/4 x 10 in.; 350 x 260 mm), 21 1/2 pages of ca. 380 signatures, written in ink with some pencil notations; some marginal soiling. Original dark blue morocco, large frame made up of gilt-tooled Gothic windows with inlaid white, green, pink, turquoise, yellow and rose morocco, gilt-stamped title in central panel surrounding an inlaid red-morocco roundel with the royal arms gilt-stamped (this repeated on the lower cover) and a gothic frame above with circular tools and similar inlaid colored morocco, blind-tooled border, cream watered silk doublures and endleaves with gilt-ruled borders; rebacked, upper joint starting.

Catalogue Note
An elegant evocation of the Victorian court and society. A fine collection of signatures of the subscribers to Ryall's magnificent mezzotint engraving of Victoria's coronation, after the painting by George Hayter, and gathered by the publisher Henry Graves & Company. The signatures include Queen Victoria, the Princess of Hohenloh-Langenburg, the Duke of Sussex, the Duc de Nemours, the Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Dukes of Devonshire, Norfold, Bedford, Roxburghe, Cleveland, Viscount Falkland, the Earl of Clarendon, Viscount Palmerston, Robert Vernon, and Sir Thomas Phillipps, to name only a few.
The engraving was advertised in The Art-Union of June 1841 as "now in progress."
