Title in blue, gold and black, text within various printed decorative borders, numerous hand-colored photomechanical reproductions in the text throughout, several full page, after watercolor drawings by E. Dinet, with an extra suite of plates providing monochrome versions of the same images (sometimes more than one) before letters. Contemporary cognac crushed morocco, double-fillet border and elaborate arabesque frame filled with brown, turquoise, green, light and dark blue morocco inlays, spine with similar decoration, edges gilt, gilt-decorated turn-ins, doublures of translucent celluloid hand-painted, endleaves of tan silk, original printed wrappers bound in, by Gruel, in a half-morocco chemise; slight signs of wear at corners, front doublure becoming detached.
