Original wrappers bound in, full black morocco by René Kieffer after a design by Pierre Legrain, gilt bands at the top and bottom margin of the covers, spine and doublures, the title stamped in gilt in an Art Deco typeface, with the large  "C" stamped in blind and rimmed in gilt, gold lamé doublures, with copper and purple marbled endpapers, doublures slightly frayed. Marbled slipcase tipped in morocco.
