4 volumes, comprising: 2 volumes text 4to (14 x 11 in.; 355 x 280 mm) and 2 volumes atlas, folio (21 1/4 x 16 5/8 in.; 540 x 422 mm). Text: half-titles, list of subscribers, 19 numbered engraved plates, list of plates and errata leaf at end of each volume. Atlas: 22 numbered engraved plates, 5 hand-colored, and 3 maps, 2 folding and partly colored; text volumes spotted and lightly browned, a few small marginal spots in atlas plates. Atlas in original boards, printed spines, silk ties, uncut, text in later half calf over marbled boards; extremities rubbed, atlas covers soiled with a few small stains.
