Catalogue Note

The first book illustrated by John Buckland Wright. No. XII of 15 roman-numbered copies on pearl-white hand-made Japanese vellum, with the extra suites, signed by Buckland Wright. The present special copy also contains a fourth signed suite of the woodcuts (used and rejected) on laid Holland paper, two original original pen and graphite drawings by Buckland Wright (for the cover vignette and for one of the rejected plates), and a proof impression of the cover vignette, printed in blue.
