Many color-printed photo-relief illustrations and decorations ("chromotypogravure") by Charles Gillot after Eugene Grasset including two versions of the original wrappers bound before the half-title, with a pencil note on one detailing some color changes for the printer (this note shaved at right edge). Dark green crushed morocco, title on upper cover composed of inlaid tan morocco and two small flowers of inlaid maroon morocco, blindstamped title on spine, elaborate tan morocco doublure with inlaid green, citron, brown and maroon morocco composing an architectural frame, a similar doublure at the end with purple inlaid morocco thistles, flames and other ornaments, embroidered silk fly-leaves, marbled endpapers, original wrappers in two states bound in; tiny signs of wear at head and foot of spine.
