Printed on japan vellum, 35 lithographs by Julius Pascin (6 handcolored of which one is double-page), the handcolored lithographs all signed in pencil by the artist. Stiff vellum, pictorial upper cover partially handcolored, plain endpapers and edges; binding rather soiled.

Catalogue Note

Limited edition, copy no. 46 of 60 printed on japan vellum from a total edition of 310. Heine's 1833 satirical novel was later adapted by Wagner as  Der fliegende Holländer.
