Catalogue Note

A fine set of the author's famous collection of stories, in the original binding, crisp and tight. This set shows an intermediate state of quire 20 in volume 2, with the correct pagination on page 213, and with the displaced i and hyphen on page 219.

This groundbreaking volume contains two of Poe's most celebrated and influential tales, the masterpiece of American gothic "The Fall of the House of Usher" and "MS. Found in a Bottle".
