Catalogue Note

First edition. Precipitated by the 1682 visit of Halley's comet, the minister of Boston's North Church writes to persuade the ordinary reader that nature could only be understood in supernatural terms, and that earthly events may have natural causes but they are also signs of divine displeasure.

Rare with all three parts.
