Kelsey | with pleasant memories | of the heroic old days of | The Revolution | From their sincere friend | Susan B. Anthony | Rochester | U.S. | 1820 – Feb. 15 1899." Anthony published the first issue her women's rights weekly journal, The Revolution, on 8 January 1868. The dates at the end of the inscriptions reflect Anthony's seventy-ninth birthday.
