Condition
The original canvas has been restretched.
There are a few isolated areas of craquelure across the surface, mainly in the right half of the work, with a few flecks of resultant paint loss to the vegetation in the upper right corner. There is a small protrusion to the canvas in the lower right quadrant, above the pot, with a further tiny fleck of paint loss. There is a small abrasion to the left of the purple pigment in the centre of the composition, measuring approximately 2cm in length. There is a small surfac eabrasion just to the right of the lighthouse. There is some minor frame abrasion along the left and lower edges. The surface is slightly dirty and may benefit from a light clean.
Ultraviolet light reveals pigments which fluoresce which are apparently the hand of the artist.
Held in a painted plaster frame.
