Condition
The canvas has been laid onto board, and is in good condition. There are no signs of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, under an uneven varnish. Apart from two pinhead-sized flecks of paint loss to the figure's hair, this work is in very good condition and ready to hang. Held in a simple, narrow, oval, muted gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.
