- Woven flat weave and embroidered
- Framed: 83cm. high, 141cm. wide; 2ft. 8in., 4ft. 7in.; Textile visible: approximately 67cm. high, 128cm. wide; 2ft. 2in., 4ft. 2in.
embroidered in polychrome threads with distinctive standing male and female figures in identifiable National Greek costume, surrounded by animals, including a dog, sheep and deer, embroidered onto a cherry red woven panel, mounted within a linen lined later glazed box frame
Condition
Overall in good condition. Lively colours and bold execution. Some minor losses of embroidered threads and some are loose in areas. Woven ground in good overall condition. Edged on four sides with faded blue and white twisted cord, tied in loops in corners. Mounted against linen backing, within later glazed box frame.
