Description
- Porcelain
- 14cm., 5½in.
modelled as a caricature, shivering from the cold with a ruddy complexion, wearing a striped robe and turban, the latter concave, possibly intended as an eggcup or a salt minor loss and chips
Condition
There is something lacking from the front of the figure which was suspended from either side below his elbows, possibly a bag, muff or sword. The rim of his coat has possibly been ground down at the front corners and sides, and there are chips to the footrim at the rear. The tails of his collar or scarf hang down on both sides over his shoulder and one has a small chip. There are firing cracks to the interior of the 'eggcup'
