modelled standing on square shaped bases, turning to face each other and gesturing, the woman wearing a fur-trimmed cloak with a floral border matching the border of her skirt, the man also wearing fur-trimmed clothes and a sash, both wearing plumed hats, some restoration

Collection of Comte Jules de Noailles, purchased from H.E. Backer Antiques, 18th June 1954, for £450.

Condition

Her right arm and hand and his hat are later replacements. Both necks and his right hand restored. His right thumg lacking. There is a fine crack running through the rear of her base down to the footrim, approx. 2.5cm. length
