An unusual Chantilly pot-pourri vase circa 1735-40

the fluted vase painted in Kakiemon style and applied with a flower spray, set on a naturalistic shaped base with a treestump and a Chinese family group,some damage and restoration

Condition

There are typical minor losses and chips to the applied flower spray on the vase and the applied leaves on the treetrunk. The rim of the vase has a restored chip approximately 5mm wide. A shallow section of the rim, approx. 8cm wide, including the treetrunk, has been broken off and restored back in place. Two of the three applied leaves at the base of the tree are later restorations. There are some minor firing cracks under the rim and around the base of the figures and vase.
