the circular bases banded with running laurel, mounted with a triform structure of three sphynx monopods supporting a platform chased with anthemia from which rises a part-fluted column decorated wtih masks, linked-swans and classical foliage, the detachable tops with three cornucopia branches and central quiver-shaped sconce, removable nozzles

can't find maker's mark on tops, one nut replaced underneath, nozzles drilled for electricity, overall good condition, nice color

These candelabra are a copy with minor variation of the gilt tripod candelabra given by Napolean to Maréchal Ney, Prince of Moscow(see Jean-Marie Pincon and Oliver Gaube du Gers, Odiot l'Orfevre Paris 1990, p. 88, fig. 130).
