This pattern is derived from a flatware pattern by Francois-Dominique Naudin which accompanied the services Odiot delivered to Count Nikolai Demidoff in 1817-18 (see Christie's, London 22 April 1993, lot 357) and to Countess Branicki, niece of Potemkin, in 1819 (same rooms, 2 June 2009, lot 124).
