the paneled body and cover both engraved with armorials, ribbon-tied reeded rim and matching handles, kale spray finial, raised on a pedestal foot.

Provenance

The arms are those of MARÉCHAL de MONTISIMOND, of Savoy and Brittany and those of CHODERLOS de LACLOS, of Franche-ComtĂ©.
