Condition

Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is more white and less brown in the original. Condition: Original canvas. Unframed. Surface dirt. A scratch and dent with associated paint loss to the upper left of the left face. Minor craquelure in the white. Scratches and paint loss in the upper center of the white. Minor scratches throughout. A few areas of craquelure with associated paint loss in the thicker parts. Minor stretch marks. A minor dent in the black, lower right. Minor retouches visible under U.V. light in the white central left and in the upper center (possibly filled in craquelure) and in the lower center.
