Condition
Pile ranges from 1/8th of an inch to low to knotheads in areas of scattered fold wear. A small 1 x 3in. and a 2 x 1in. reweave in upper end of field connected by a 6 in. repaired slit. Very minor dime-size repiled area nearby and a very small half-inch horizontal slit also nearby. A few scattered visible warp ties. Sides slight curling under in areas and now with original selvages, now with some later overcasting in a few areas, not extensive. Right side outer surround with minor moth damage in lower end. Ends secured with binding stitch, upper end border with small repaired hole and minor repaired slits. Lower end slightly fraying. Carpet has been chemically washed to soften color palette, probably a long time ago. Lustrous wool, flexible handle, good overall design.
