In keeping with Fabergé's custom of purchasing objects from other firms, in particular glass and porcelain manufactories, and mounting them in silver, there are a handful of silver-mounted lacquer pieces known. All of these appear to be Lukutin products, suggesting either that those were preferred over the work of Vishnyakov, or that some arrangement existed between Fabergé and the Lukutin firm. overall good condition; one tulip on the cover missing its gilded mounting pin, the leaf of one tulip on the base slightly damaged. Some traces of gilding apparent when examined under magnification.
