in the 17th century taste, the interior enameled en plein with a pattern of colorful peacocks alternating with vases of flowers and the central panel with a peacock surrounded by flowering foliage, the exterior enameled with stylized blooms and foliage against a stippled gilt ground, the upper rim set with gilded twisted cable border, the bowl set on three ball feet wrapped with gilded cable

Condition

with some minor enamel loss, especially to the white beads of the border, some surface scratching to the underside somewhat obscuring the firm's mark
