Condition

Oil on panel. The surface is dirty and covered with a layer of slightly yellowed varnish. There are areas of minor craquelure and a vertical line of craquelure running down the composition about three inches to left of right edge. The surface layer appears stable. There is very minor paint loss around the edges, this is noticeable along the edge about the head of the girl. Under UV no specific pigments fluoresce but varnish prevents a conclusive analysis. Held in a white painted wood frame with plaster molding. Unexamined out of frame.
